Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Green Bay Broadway Mill is hiring Machine Operators for a rotating 12-hour shift. Wages start at $25-$27 per hour with a $3.00 shift premium for night hours (6:00 PM–6:00 AM).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.

• Perform basic asset care duties including routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Work as a team to meet production, safety and quality goals.
• Operate around mobile equipment.
• Attend regular shifts and training sessions as required.
• Lift, walk, climb, stoop, stand, push or pull for up to 12 hours daily.

Your Job

Machine Operators will work a rotating 12-hour shift that includes days, nights, weekends, holiday, and overtime hours. Wages are commensurate with experience, with a starting rate range of $25-$27 per hour and a $3.00 per hour shift premium for all night-shift hours worked (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).

Our Team

The Green Bay Broadway Mill manufactures and distributes leading commercial and retail brands of paper products: bath tissue, napkins, and towels. Every day, GP employees and products help maintain a strong, stable economy in Northeastern Wisconsin.

What You Will Do

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Inspect product to ensure quality standards are met
• Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
• Attend your regular scheduled shift without violations including tardiness which at times will include participating in meetings and training sessions as required
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, industrial, non-temperature controlled, high-volume environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience using a computer, tablet, OR smartphone
• Speak, read, and write English

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment
• Experience working in a paper manufacturing environment
• Experience working a rotating shift

The starting rate of pay ranges from $25-27/HR and will be determined based on experience and knowledge. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
