Join to apply for the Machine Operator - Graveyard role at MITER Brands.

A Graveyard Machine Operator job in Tacoma, WA, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors, at our Internal Supply Vinyl building. You will be responsible for operating machinery to ensure optimal conditions for product quality and productivity. Candidates should have six months to one year of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

This position features a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts starting at 6:00 p.m., providing a balance of workdays and time off.

The hourly rate is between $22.00 - $24.00 depending on experience, plus a $2.00 shift differential.

MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors, and PGT Innovations, is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors with plants across the country.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to maintain product quality and productivity.
• Disassemble, clean, reassemble, shut down, start-up, and change over extrusion tooling sets safely and efficiently, including use of overhead crane tools.
• Perform quality control through visual inspection and precise measurements with calipers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the line, including cleaning machinery and work area.
• Complete reports on productivity, quality, and machine conditions, and track finished goods using bundle tickets and work orders.
• Assist in packaging finished products, including forklift operation.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma with six months to one year of related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals; capable of writing routine reports and communicating effectively.
• Proficiency in basic math and measurements, including use of calipers.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
