Job summary

Newly Weds Foods in Tennessee is seeking a Machine Operator responsible for monitoring, operating and troubleshooting packaging equipment to produce products that meet customer specifications.

You will perform washouts, safety checks, quality checks, and maintenance, document activities, and communicate performance information to other shifts while following GMP and safety procedures. Must read and write English and be able to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• Read and write in English.
• Lift up to 55 lbs.
• Attend scheduled shifts and follow instructions.
• Basic math ability.

Responsibilities

• Understand SOPs, Machine Priming, and operating procedures to package products.
• Operate various manufacturing equipment in high-volume production.
• Set up machines at shift start and perform safety checks.
• Load packaging material and adjust machine components for product specs.
• Troubleshoot jams and malfunctions and inspect finished items for quality.
• Document pre-op inspections, quality checks, and maintenance tasks.
• Communicate performance information to other shifts and complete end-of-shift wrap-up.
