Job summary

Owens Corning is seeking a Machine Operator/Forklift Driver to support the production of roofing shingles in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, this role helps maintain safe operations, perform quality inspections, and ensure continuous production flow.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English communication, and basic computer skills, with flexibility for all shifts including nights and overtime. Forklift experience is a plus.

TheMachineOperator/ForkliftDriver positionsupports the production of high-quality roofing shingles in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor,this role helpsmaintainsafe operations, perform quality inspections, support equipment reliability, and ensure continuous production flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Follow all safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Perform quality inspections and remove off-specificationproduct.

Monitor shingle measurements, appearance, and material application.

Support production operations by clearing jams, handling materials, andmaintainingequipment.

Assistwith preventive maintenance, cleaning, and TPM activities.

Handle, stack, wrap, store, and move finished products safely.

Complete required production documentation and quality checks.

Support team members across the production line and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GEDrequired.

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Basic computer skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Flexibility to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Forklift experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods during 8 to 16-hour shifts.

Frequent bending, twisting, climbing, and repetitive movement.

Ability to regularly lift and move materials up to 40 pounds and heavier loads withassistance.

Ability to work in varying temperatures, industrial noise, and manufacturing environments.
