Job Title: Machine Operator/Forklift - 25-00634

Company or Role Overview:
Scotts Miracle Gro manufactures and sells consumer lawn, garden, and pest control products.

Available Shifts:
1st: 5am-3:30pm M-Th
2nd: 3pm-1:30am M-Th
Friday-Sunday OT Mandatory if running.

Pay Rate:
$20.00 - $21.50/hr. ($21.50 is the 2nd shift differential)

Work Environment:
Dusty, warehouse-like environment with full-service breakrooms in each building.

Job Description:
Responsible for the safe operation of a forklift to move product loads around the facility. Performs a safety check of the forklift to ensure it is safe to operate. Checks fluid levels for oil, water, and fuel before operating the lift. Assists production lines, associates, and robotic cells through the finished goods process, which consists of building boxes and case goods, hanging, sealing, and stacking finished goods. Ensures materials flow through the process consistently and efficiently. Performs all housekeeping duties, including re-stacking material and shoveling material from under the conveyors. Assists all full-time associates with cleanouts and end-of-cycle counts.

Requirements:
Minimum 1-year recent forklift experience required. Ability to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/rainy weather; ability to climb ladders and work on their feet for most of the day. All other duties as assigned. Successful candidates will have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for 10 hours a day, and demonstrate great dependability.
