Taylor Farms in Tolleson, AZ is hiring a Food Production Machine Operator to operate equipment across the plant, maintain quality, and support safe, efficient production.

You will inspect equipment, perform basic maintenance, monitor temps and flow, and collaborate with teams to meet daily goals while following safety standards. High school or GED required; weekends and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as ovens, kettles, fryers and dicers to meet production targets.
• Ensure safe, quality production and perform routine cleaning and sanitation tasks.
• Monitor temperatures, weight, speed, and flow per QA standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and coordinate with other departments to meet daily goals.
• Verify product adherence to BOMs and quality specifications.
• Communicate production status and resolve issues to minimize downtime.

About the job

The Food Production Machine Operator main responsibility is to operate equipment in the assigned department. Equipment can range from; ovens, kettles, deep fryer, Multi-VAC, TUCS, spin driers, dicers, mixers, char grill, spiral ovens, chillers, tumblers, Trans slicers, dicer, bagger. MTEK and kitchen equipment. The operator is responsible for ensuring efficient, safe machine operation, and producing fresh quality product. Additionally, the food production machine operator is responsible, inspecting equipment and performing preventative maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to operate equipment, adhering to all quality assurance, productivity, OSHA, and safety standards.
• Must be able to assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning/sanitizing and operating per manufacture instructions.
• Operator must monitor and control temperatures, weight, speed, pressure, and work flow in accordance with established quality assurance standards.
• Must monitor and control the flow of product from processing to packaging-
• Previous experience in a Fresh Food Manufacturing processing facility preferred but not necessary.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent.
• Verify all machines have sharp blades, set up machines according to schedule.
• Verify the product being produce is adhering to BOMs.
• Communicate with other departments ensuring daily goals are met.
• Ensure product specifications are met.
• Maintains accurate inventory of supplies needed to operate machine.
• Coordinates with other personnel to ensure compliance with specifications
• Ability to utilize scan guns to raff product being produce
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School or GED
• 1 year of Food Manufacturing
• Strong communication, organizational and follow-through skills
• Ability for work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, push and pull
• Ability to withstand temperatures under 40 degrees for extended periods of time
