Job summary

GardenCore is a leading U.S. manufacturer of lawn and garden consumables, offering mulch, soil, stone and lime products. The Machine Operator will run manual and automated equipment in a fast-paced environment and perform preventive maintenance to ensure quality.

This role requires 3+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs. It offers benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in trades
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Knowledge of safety principles, such as lock-out/tag-out
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs
• Ability to sit for extended periods and stand for long periods
• Ability to work independently in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment operation and detect malfunctions
• Operate equipment to meet quality, cost and scheduling requirements
• Notify management of production, safety, quality or environmental concerns
• Meet bagging specifications and quality targets
• Daily cleanup of production area
• Complete daily production forms accurately
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment
• Other duties as needed
