Job summary

OPTIBELT Corporation in Bartlett, IL is seeking a Belt Fabricator for an on-site, full-time role. Shift is 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a pay range of $18 to $20 per hour and a $600 sign-up bonus.

You will handle fabrication tasks, operate belt-making equipment, and help maintain safety and quality standards while enjoying a comprehensive benefits package, plus a $150 monthly bonus based on performance and attendance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of proven experience in hands-on work and machine operation.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Strong mechanical background with high attention to detail.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Minimum age 18.

Responsibilities

• Uses hand and power tools to cut, shape, splice, and slit various belt types used for fabrication.
• Accurately measures and assembles materials used in the fabrication process.
• Applies adhesives and other materials used for belt backings.
• Operates machines to grind, weld, cut, and shape belt types and backings.
• Inspects fabricated products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Follows safety guidelines and ensures safe operation of all tooling and equipment.
• Detects and reports equipment or any operation with improper or unusual conditions.

Skills and Requirements:

• 1+ year of proven experience in "hands-on work", machine operation other manufacturing-related experience.

THE ROLE

This role carries the primary responsibility of efficiently managing work orders for the fabrication of specialized Polyurethane and rubber belts. Additionally, it involves the vital tasks of handling, retrieving, and distributing the diverse materials essential for our production processes. Moreover, you will play a crucial role in identifying and, where necessary, implementing corrective measures to uphold our stringent production quality standards.
