Job summary

ABB is seeking a Production Operator for the Selmer, TN plant to operate process equipment, set up machinery, and execute tasks per the production orders and ABB safety guidelines. You will report to the Production Manager and contribute to on-site manufacturing of busway components with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and prefers 2 years of manufacturing/machine operation experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating process equipment to produce components of finished products.
• Ability to follow workflows according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine machinery setup, adjustments, and repair/replacement of simple parts.
• Ensure regular maintenance of equipment, tool setup, programming activities, and maintain detailed records of setups and maintenance.
• Track approved, defective units and final products.

This position reports to:

Production Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts for a final product at the right time and with the required quality. Each day, you will execute the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance. You will also showcase your expertise by operating machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the success of the ABB busway plant in Selmer, TN

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing routine machinery set-up, adjustments, and repairing and fitting simple replacement parts.
• Ensuring regular standard maintenance of the equipment, tools set-up, programming activities, and troubleshooting and reporting issues, if any; and maintaining detailed records of machinery set-ups, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Keeping track of approved, defective units, and final products.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years manufacturing/industrial/machine operation preferred
