Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is seeking a skilled machine operator for our Pennsylvania packaging manufacturing facility. You will run production equipment, perform quality checks, and lead a machine crew during setups to keep lines running smoothly and meet daily output goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using Production Equipment to ensure steady workflow.
• Ensure a high-quality product is coming off the machine.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure sheets have required dimensions and zero material defects.
• Lead machine crew with setups/change overs.
• Problem solve when issues with the machine arise.
• Complete necessary reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong safety background and good attendance record.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and be good communicator.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating corrugated equipment.
• Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding that temperatures and volumes of work may vary.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: $26.71 per hour.
• Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
