Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Overview

Sun Mountain, based in Berthoud, Colorado, is an industry-leading manufacturer of custom doors and architectural millwork products. We are seeking experienced woodworking machine operators for the day shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm (four ten-hour days). Overtime may be available, including some Fridays. No prior experience is necessary as paid training will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate production machines to construct parts for custom wood doors.
• Assemble parts into high-quality finished products.
• Set up and load machines.
• Ensure components meet quality standards and correct issues promptly.
• Verify order details, including correct wood and machine setup.
• Handle and move building materials safely.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Follow supervisor instructions to complete work.
• Collaborate with a small team.

Education and Experience

• At least one year of manufacturing experience.
• Woodworking or carpentry experience preferred.
• Transferable skills include machine operation, wood framing, or factory work.

Qualifications

• Experience with doors, cabinetry, windows, or millwork is a plus.
• Ability to operate manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Basic knowledge of wood species preferred.
• Reliable attendance and transportation.
• Good communication skills.
• Dependability and flexibility.

Physical Demands

• Wear safety glasses at all times.
• Ability to lift up to 125 pounds.
