Day Shift, Four Tens 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday (Weekends Free), $20 to $23/Hour

Sun Mountain, an industry-leading manufacturer of custom doors and architectural millwork products based in Berthoud, Colorado, is seeking experienced woodworking machine operators. Positions are available Monday through Thursday (four ten-hour days). Overtime is frequent but not guaranteed, and candidates must be available for overtime on some Fridays. No experience is necessary as paid training will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate production machines with co-workers to construct parts for custom wood doors.
• Assemble parts into a complete product meeting high-quality standards.
• Set up and load machines.
• Ensure components meet quality standards and take corrective action when needed.
• Check order details to ensure correct wood and machine setup.
• Handle and move building materials safely.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks.
• Follow supervisor instructions to complete work.
• Work cooperatively with a small team.

Education and Experience

• At least one year of experience in manufacturing.
• Woodworking or carpentry experience preferred.
• Transferable experience includes machine operation, wood framing, construction, or factory work.

Qualifications

• Experience with doors, cabinetry, windows, or millwork preferred.
• Experience operating manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Basic understanding of wood species preferred.
• Good attendance record.
• Reliable transportation.
• Effective communication skills.
• Dependability and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Physical Demands
