The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing, and Packaging Center is located approximately 30 miles from Charlotte, NC. This facility employs 400+ full-time associates in a 5-shift operation, encompassing 235,000 sq ft and 12,000 SKUs. Job Description

The operator of the Cut and Pack process will be responsible for running an automated system that cuts and packages sandpaper sheets. Responsibilities include changeovers, loading materials, quality checks, and ensuring smooth process flow. As a Cut and Pack Specialist, maintaining a positive work environment by following safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Training, Experience, etc.

• Understanding proper product flow on the machine – Intermediate
• Following 5S procedures for machine cleanliness and tool organization – Intermediate
• Recording downtime, machine breakdowns, and organizational failures in daily management sheets – Senior
• Using HMI to select programs – Intermediate
• Mechanically changing over machines with instructions and training – Intermediate
• Following BPS standards and understanding their interactions – Entry

Additional Information

• Loading material on the machine as needed
• Operating pin lift, pallet lift, and hoist
• Setting up and starting up the machine successfully
• Adjusting the machine as needed
• Assisting in troubleshooting and repairs per escalation plan
• Reading and following standard operating procedures
• Adhering to quality standards and measures
• Maintaining machine cleanliness and tool organization
• Following safety procedures
• The machine features a motorized feeding system with clamp beams on an idle conveyor, with parameters adjustable via touchscreen to minimize waste. Recipes can be saved for quick setup.
