Job summary

Valor Environmental is seeking a Full-Time Machine Operator/Crew Leader for construction/landscaping in North Carolina. The role leads a crew, handles erosion control tasks, and operates heavy equipment on site.

Requirements include prior construction or landscaping leadership, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work outdoors in all weather, including weekends and extended hours. Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently is required.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or landscaping leadership experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to physically work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be able to work weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment; up to 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of Environmental Field Service Specialists when Field Quality Manager is out.
• Install and remove Silt Fence.
• Install protection to storm inlets.
• Work with heavy duty hand tools (sledge hammer/shovels, etc.).
• Install erosion control measures (BMPs) as prescribed by reporting agencies.
• Monitor safety hazards on jobsite and correct unsafe practices.
• Operate company machinery.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Pay rate: $19.00-$22.00 plus overtime

Job Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of Environmental Field Service (EFS) Specialists in the occurrence a Field Quality Manager (FQM) is out.
• Install and remove Silt Fence.
• Install protection to storm inlets.
• Work with heavy duty hand tools (sledge hammer/shovels, etc.).
• Install various types of erosion control measures (BMPs) as prescribed by reporting agencies.
• Watch for safety hazards on jobsite, correct employees anytime they are working in an unsafe manner.
• Operate company machinery.
• Additional duties as assigned.
