Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator Assistant in Cedar Rapids, IA. This Regular Full Time Non Exempt role supports the machine operator with setup, operation, and organization of finished materials for the next production step.

Responsibilities include operating laser and press brake machines, safely handling materials, and ensuring work conforms to orders while monitoring quality. Training of others and a strong attendance record are valued.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience; prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required; must use computer systems to clock-in/clock-out and look up information.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32”.
• ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up and operation of production machines; including laser and press brake.
• Safely and efficiently handle materials during operation.
• Examine completed work to verify conformance to work orders and adjust machinery as necessary to correct issues.
• Utilize a crane to position raw flat sheets of steel onto brake bed or cutting table.
