Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a hands-on machine support worker to assist in running corrugated production lines, including setup, operation, quality checks, cleanup, and process improvements.

The role emphasizes safe work practices, equipment efficiency, and collaboration with operators and maintenance staff to meet cost, quality and service goals while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year minimum relevant experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set-up equipment accurately and in accordance with proper and safe setup techniques.
• Inspect all tooling before and after run to ensure repairs are made before next run.
• Minimize material sheet, ink and adhesive waste. Assist Machine Operator in operation of machines, ensuring efficiency and quality products.
• Maximize utilization of equipment by operating at available capacity and speed.
• Submit maintenance work orders for repairs. Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups.
• Provide recommendations to optimize the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Perform continuous quality control checks on material sizes, scoring, slots, printing and folding.
• Abide by all company policies and safe work habits.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to GBP quality policy to ensure customer satisfaction.
