Job summary

Aviso, LLC is seeking a Machine Operator Trainee / Operator Assistant in Fremont, CA. This on-site role offers hands-on training, supporting machine operators with material prep and staging, and advancing to a skilled operator.

Responsibilities include loading materials, setup, changeovers, and basic adjustments while ensuring quality and safety in an ISO environment. Must be reliable and willing to work early shifts Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

Job Overview

Position: Machine Operator Trainee / Operator Assistant

Supervisor: Manufacturing Operations Manager

Pay Rate: $22.00 / hour

Shift: Early morning starts (e.g., 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, or 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday)

The Opportunity: This is an active, hands‑on role designed as a direct training pipeline. You will support primary Machine Operators with material prep and staging while actively training to transition into a skilled, independent Machine Operator.

Key Responsibilities

Material Prep & Staging

Break down incoming pallets (rolls and boxes) and unstrap shipments.

Safely move materials using pallet jacks; label, organize, and stage raw stock for immediate operator access.

Operator & Machinery Support

Assist with loading raw materials and over‑laminates onto machines.

Support setup, material changeovers, and basic machinery adjustments.

Learn the safe operation of laminating, chopping, punch press, and other production machinery.

Quality, Packaging & Maintenance

Perform packaging and assembly duties to meet production goals.

Conduct in‑process quality inspections and monitor parts to ensure they meet strict tolerances.

Maintain a clean, safe work environment (ISO standards) and regularly empty scrap/waste tubs to prevent machine downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Previous manufacturing, assembly (mechanical/electromechanical), or general labor experience is highly preferred.
• Skills: Mechanically inclined with basic measurement skills, neat handwriting, and the ability to read work instructions. ISO environment familiarity is a plus.

• Reliability: Extremely reliable and flexible to match early‑morning operator schedules.

Physical Demands

Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work for 90% to 100% of the shift.
