Work Location: 5900 Eastport Blvd., Richmond, VA, US

Pay Rate: $19.00

Shift: 1st and 2nd

Job Description:

Basic Function: Under the direction of production supervision, the Production Assembler I builds high-quality products at the lowest possible cost, meeting company production standards, customer specifications, and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Typical duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assembling products following engineering documents to ensure quality, standards, and customer requirements.
  • Operating computers to check schedules and update manufacturing status.
  • Performing operator-based Go-No Go testing per procedures.
  • Monitoring the quality of parts used in assembly.
  • Assisting in training other employees and resolving inquiries and problems.
  • Performing material handling activities as required.
  • Reviewing and recommending improvements to assembly processes for productivity and quality enhancement.
  • Communicating with engineering to relay accurate information.
  • Completing and maintaining all required documentation and records.
  • Participating actively in team meetings and discussions.
  • Following safety and work regulations.
  • Maintaining departmental housekeeping standards.

Complexity of Tasks: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions involving standardized situations with concrete variables.

Qualifications: High School diploma and up to 2 years of experience.
