Job summary

J L Clark in Lancaster, PA is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Line Helper to support the line operations on the 2nd shift. You will assist the Mechanic/Operator, stage materials, load metal, manage material flow, and ensure safety and cleanliness.

Candidates must read production and quality control instructions, perform math with decimals, read scales and calipers, and maintain minimum certifications. Training will cover forklift operation and use of computer terminals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Mechanic/Operator on the line to maintain daily line operations.

• Restock palletizer with empty skids.
• Refill corrugated pad feeder for wrapping operation.
• Ensure line cleanliness inside and outside the line; follow Cleaning Schedule.
• Perform quality checks.
• Assist Mechanic/Operator with additional tasks.
• May perform some Material Handler duties.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

• Responsible for assisting the Mechanic/Operator in operating the line to ensure consistent and daily maintenance of the line


• Assist in staging and loading metal for the current job in line


• Reload carton maker for continuous material flow


• Restock palletizer with empty skids


• Refill corrugated pad feeder for wrapping operation


• Ensure line cleanliness inside and outside the perimeter of the entire line, completing the Cleaning Schedule Procedure


• Perform quality checks


• Assists Mechanic/Operator with any tasks they need assistance with.


• May perform some Material Handler duties.


• Responsible for following all safety policies and procedures

Must be able to operate other Fabrication equipment when ASC line is not available. Will be trained to drive a Forklift- powered and manual hand trucks. Will operate computer terminal and other office equipment.

Must be able to read and understand production instructions, quality control instructions, and perform math calculations using decimals. Must read scales and various types of calipers. Must maintain minimum Certification requirements.
