Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. is seeking operators to fabricate parts using cutting machines, laser/plasma, and saws. You will read drawings, adjust settings, and ensure parts meet specifications. The role includes quality checks, training, safety adherence, and cross-training across production areas.

Responsibilities include documenting time, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining tools and workspace. A strong focus on teamwork and adherence to Altec values is essential.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend.
• Basic computer usage knowledge required.
• Know how to use measuring equipment and general hand tools.
• Able to perform moderate math calculations.

• Operate cutting machines, laser/plasma, press machines, saw, and manual cutting tools.
• Control and adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.

• Use measuring equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
• Load and unload components and tooling.
• Maintain daily time records.
• Support APS (Altec Production System) initiatives and participate in continuous improvement events.
• Move to other work areas to support production needs (cross-train).
• Assist and train new/current associates.
• Follow safety, environmental and quality policies and PPE usage.
• Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment.
• Show commitment to Altec core values.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency

Pay range: $23.63/hour - $25.53/hour + $2.00 shift differential. We are committed to fair and competitive pay for all associates based on their experience, education, and qualifications.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
