Job summary

Captive-Aire Systems, Inc. in Muskogee, OK is hiring for a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will prepare machines, set up tooling, and operate turret punch and panel bender to build commercial kitchen ventilation components.

We value safety, accuracy, and teamwork. You will read blueprints, follow work orders, maintain logs, and support other areas as needed while working on the 3rd shift with a willingness to overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and work from prints, schematics, and technical bulletins.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Attention to detail, safety and quality.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math.
• Experience with turret punch and panel bending machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing material.
• Set up and operate turret punch and panel bender.
• Read blueprints and work orders to determine sequence of operations.
• Adjust controls to regulate machining speed and process.
• Maintain quality by inspecting parts and detecting malfunctions.
• Document actions in production and quality logs.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Contribute to team effort across other areas as needed.

Schedule

• Monday-Thursday 6:30pm - 5:00am
• Some overtime required

Responsibilities Include

• Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing material
• Determine the sequence of operations by studying blueprints, specifications, and work orders
• Set up and maintain tooling in Turret Punch and Panel Bender
• Regulate machining speed and process by setting and adjusting controls
• Maintain specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls
• Resolve production problems by altering process to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
• Contributes to team effort working in other areas as needed
• Maintain an orderly and tidy work environment

Job Requirements

• Attention to detail, safety, and quality
• Ability to work with controls and instrumentation
• Ability to interface with modern touchscreen automated equipment
• Basic Microsoft Office/Windows knowledge is needed
• Capable of solving problems and using good judgment in making decisions
• Ability to read and work from prints, schematics, and technical bulletins
• Ability to read tape measures and use good rudimentary math skills
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and standing for long periods

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Salary

• $18 and up depending on experience + 3rd shift Shift Differential
• Monthly bonus based on productivity and profits
