Job summary

PFG Manufacturing in Logan, UT is seeking a Machine Operator to oversee the plant's grain processing and to operate and maintain production equipment. The role includes completing required forms and maintaining documentation for quality control.

The incumbent will conduct quality checks, retain samples, and prepare samples for sales while ensuring regulatory specifications are met. They will follow safety protocols and assist with preventative maintenance in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 0–6 months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the plant's grain processing and complete required forms.
• Operate and maintain production equipment.
• Conduct quality checks and complete documentation.
• Retain samples of production runs per policy.
• Complete samples for sales ensuring specifications are met.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document activities.
• Report food safety, quality, or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times.
• Adhere to safety, cleanliness, and BRC/FDA policies.
• Take on other duties as assigned by Plant Operations/Plant Manager.

Position Purpose:

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks including overseeing the plant’s grain processing, operation and maintenance of production equipment. The position functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee the plant's grain processing, completing necessary forms as required
• Operate and maintain production equipment
• Conduct quality checks and other processing documentation as required
  • Complete quality forms
  • Monitor product runs to ensure customer specifications are met
• Retain samples of production runs as per regulatory and company policy
• Complete samples as needed for sales or others ensuring specifications are met
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete appropriate documentation
• Report any food safety, quality issues, or occupational safety concerns to Management immediately
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area at all times
• Follow all policies and procedures on safety, cleanliness, and BRC/FDA
• Other duties as assigned by the Plant Operations Manager or Plant Manager
