Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read a ruler and use measuring tools.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; steel toe footwear required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned in-process and final inspections.
• Monitor product with work station equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, rings, plugs).
• Generate and maintain quality documents neatly.
• Measure and inspect parts according to instructions.
• Support production as necessary.
• Make decisions on production or shipment of nonconforming product.
• Generate Hold tags for nonconforming or suspect product.
• Gather paperwork, SPC data, and gauges for upcoming jobs.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized work area; comply with procedures and safety standards.
• Able to label accurately.

A leading contract manufacturer of deep draw metal stampings located in Zeeland is looking for temp to hire associates, Operating. This position will require you to run 1-2 automated stamp presses that are stamping out parts every so many seconds. Must be able to be multitask and walk back and forth between machines. Position consists of quality checks using measuring instruments as well as a visual check. Must be able to build boxes and/or totes between machines and ensure parts are to customers expectations. This company has room for growth and development if you are looking to move up.

Operator Role

• Perform assigned in-process and final inspections
