Job summary

Key Personnel in Zeeland, MI is seeking temp-to-hire manufacturing associates to operate 1-2 automated stamping presses, perform in-process inspections, and move parts between machines. The role requires multitasking, attention to quality, and ability to stand and walk between stations.

You will read basic blueprints, use measuring tools, and help with paperwork, while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. The position offers room for growth for reliable performers.

Qualifications

• Must have operating experience and be able to multitask on the line.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some knowledge/understanding of blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Ability to operate a pendant crane.
• Basic mathematics and computer skills.
• Ability to read a ruler and use measuring tools.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; steel toe footwear required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned in-process and final inspections.
• Monitor product with work station equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, rings, plugs).
• Generate and maintain quality documents neatly.
• Measure and inspect parts according to instructions.
• Support production as necessary.
• Make decisions on production or shipment of nonconforming product.
• Generate Hold tags for nonconforming or suspect product.
• Gather paperwork, SPC data, and gauges for upcoming jobs.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized work area; comply with procedures and safety standards.
• Able to label accurately.
