Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have operating experience, 3–5 years at one company.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some knowledge of blueprint reading and SPC basics.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned in-process and final inspections.
• Monitor product using station equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, rings and plugs).
• Generate and maintain quality documents in neat and orderly manner.
• Measure and inspect parts according to Operator Inspection Instruction.
• Support and assist production as necessary.
• Make decisions concerning production or shipment or nonconforming product.
• Generate Hold tags for nonconforming or suspect product.
• Gather paperwork, SPC data, and gauges for upcoming production jobs.
• Comply with procedures, safety standards, and housekeeping.
• Label parts accurately.

A leading contract manufacturer of deep draw metal stampings located in Zeeland is looking for temp to hire associates, Operating. This position will require you to run 1-2 automated stamp presses that are stamping out parts every so many seconds. Must be able to be multitask and walk back and forth between machines. Position consists of quality checks using measuring instruments as well as a visual check. Must be able to build boxes and/or totes between machines and ensure parts are to customers expectations. This company has room for growth and development if you are looking to move up.

Operator Role

• Perform assigned in-process and final inspections

Operator Job Requirements

• Must have Operating experience

• Some knowledge/understanding of blueprint reading
• Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Able to operate a pendant crane
• Basic mathematics skills
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to read a ruler
• Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
• Steel toe footwear required
