Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a production operator for the paint line to support manufacturing of coated components. You will set up, operate, and monitor the paint line, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety policies.

Daily tasks include loading products, inspecting finishes, and performing routine PMs on equipment. The role requires basic math and mechanical skills, with a HS diploma and preferred 1 year of machine operation experience.

Qualifications

• Basic math and mechanical skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shut down the paint line.
• Work in dust, vapors, and related production conditions.
• Load and unload paint line with product.
• Recognize and respond to equipment problems; adjust as needed.
• Inspect products to ensure quality accuracy.
• Use paint thickness gauge to verify coating.
• Maintain turnover belt and powder application processes.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on line equipment.
• Inspect and replace tips on paint guns as needed.
• Conduct frequent walk-throughs to ensure optimal operation.
• Replace and manage paint supply as required.
• Check and clean re-claim hoppers.
• Maintain production pace and quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
• Practice 5S and follow written and verbal instructions.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and shut down paint line

• Hone turnover belt (powder application)
• Perform daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) on paint line equipment
• Inspect, clean, and change out tips on paint guns
• Perform frequent walk-throughs to ensure equipment is operating properly
• Change out and add paint as required
• Check and clean re-claim hoppers
• Maintain production pace and standards
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
