Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Operator I to support production by operating various equipment and ensuring 제품 quality per provided criteria and work instructions. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain safety, quality, and culture standards in a fast-paced environment.

The Operator I will follow safety policies, perform autonomous maintenance tasks, and log production numbers while meeting delivery and efficiency targets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Display great attention to detail.
  • 0-1 years of machine operation experience.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand provided work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety policies and 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Identify and escape potential safety risks on the floor.
  • Operate equipment, independently or in a team, per work instructions.
  • Use electronic devices to reference work instructions, control plans, visual criteria, and in-process quality checks.
  • Perform repetitive tasks and maintain production pace and quality as specified.
  • Recognize and react to equipment problems and escalate as required.
  • Maintain product quality by following visual criteria and reporting issues.
  • Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools to ensure proper positioning of components.
  • Work on a raised platform safely.
  • Collaborate with Machine Setup Technician to resolve equipment issues.
  • Clean equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct Autonomous Maintenance tasks as prescribed.
  • Place processed parts into containers and palletize per the work instruction.
  • Perform other duties as determined by business and production needs.

Job Description:
Your Role on Our Team

The Operator I supports production by operating a variety of equipment to produce quality product per provided criteria and work instructions. This position is required to cooperate with other cross-functional departments to ensure and maintain part quality, proper procedure execution, a safe and productive work environment, and culture standards.

This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time.

Shift Hours:
  • 3rd Shift Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am → must be able to train on 1st Shift Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm for the first few weeks.
You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Follow all safety policies and practice 6S standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment for all employees.
  • Identify and escape potential safety risks on the floor.
  • Operate numerous types of equipment, independently or in a team environment, per the work instructions.
  • Utilize electronic devices (computer, iPad, etc.) daily to reference work instructions, control plans, visual criteria, in-process quality checks, and accurately log production numbers.
  • Perform repetitive tasks as needed and maintain production pace and quality standards as specified by the applicable documentation to meet process metrics such as delivery, efficiency, and quality.
  • Recognize and react to problems with equipment, elevate as required.
  • Close attention to detail concerning product quality through utilizing visual criteria and elevate issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Use fixtures, jigs, and hand tools as necessary to ensure proper position and/or movement of components and parts.
  • Ability to work on a raised platform, safely.
  • Work with Machine Set Up Technician to resolve problems with equipment.
  • Clean equipment as required to ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct Autonomous Maintenance tasks as prescribed.
  • Place processed parts into containers and palletize per the work instruction and at specified quantities per the part tag.
  • Other duties and projects as determined by business and production needs.
