Machine Operator 3 (2nd Shift) (Finance)

We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our tie treating plant in Fulton, KY. The starting pay is $17.51 with a $.75 shift differential. This is a 2nd shift position.

Position Summary

Performs operational work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distributions or delivery of products, parts and materials. Loads, unloads, moves or stores items according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions. Operates heavy equipment.

Schedule

Monday - Friday (3:00pm - 11:30pm)

Principal Responsibilities

• Operates various machines (Forklift, Knuckle-boom, Runaround, Wood Boiler Support, Prentice Support, Endplate Station Support, Trimmer Support). Maintains proficiency to operate consistently at or above target production levels.
• Completes daily inspection and maintenance reports for assigned machines and identifies operational issues.
• Performs daily maintenance for assigned machines.
• Assists supervisors to ensure procedures are followed correctly.
• Participates in and contributes to the company safety program.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year experience in heavy industrial machine operations preferred
• Operating certificate for equipment (independent or through company)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Good eye/hand coordination
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Annual OSHA forklift training
• Wood products experience preferred
