Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a Machine Operator for the Louisville, KY plant. This second shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) offers an hourly rate of $22.45 plus a $0.75 shift differential, with overtime as scheduled. Onsite position, anticipated close date of September 14, 2026.

You will operate machines, perform quality checks, observe GMPs and safety rules, and coordinate with Quality and Production to meet demand while maintaining product quality and classroom standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or production is ideal.
• Knowledge of GMPs and safety is ideal.
• Ability to understand basic machine operations and settings.
• Physical lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally and up to 50 lbs to move objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate all machine equipment and maintain safe operations.
• Perform quality checks and documentation per standard work.
• Ensure packaging materials and product codes meet standards.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to support demand.
• Follow safety rules and Conagra policies; escalate risks as needed.
• Perform cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.

A Day in the Life of a Machine Operator

• Operate all the different machines and equipment.
• Prioritize safety above all else.
• Complete quality checks and documentation, observing standard work.
• Operate equipment within Quality expectations, including code dates, packaging materials, product standards, and metal detector checks.
• Work with Quality, Production Supervisors and Coordinators to support production demand and maintain product quality standards.
• Read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements & Conagra's policies.
• Awareness of food safety risks and escalates found risks to lead/supervisor.
• Perform all assigned cleaning and preventative maintenance responsibilities.

You Have:

• 1+ years of experience – ideal.
• Knowledge of GMPs and safety – ideal.
• The ability to understand the basic machine operations and settings.
• Physical-lifting and carrying: negligible pounds occasionally up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds to pull or lay objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position requiring use of upper extremities and back muscles.
• Push or pulling: using extremities to exert force to push, pull, draw, drag, haul, or tug objects exerting a negligible amount of force always, up to 10 pounds frequently.
