Job Overview
Starting Pay $21 + an hour DOE. Machines Operated: Safan, Accupress.
Key Responsibilities
- Minimum of 3 years as a CNC Brake Press Operator of one of the above machines.
- Fabrication of parts per schematic under supervision of a Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager.
- Read blueprints and program machining equipment to produce required parts.
- Operate metal working manipulation machinery such as brake, shear, saw, punch, etc.
- Request training on machining equipment and familiarize with new projects and equipment.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure good working order, notifying management of malfunctions (TPM).
- Assist tradespeople and management with project responsibilities in a safe manner.
- Organize department, keep it clean, and clean at the end of each workday.
- Notify management of any unsafe conditions, practices or procedures observed.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of high school or equivalent education (preferred).
- Additional education or apprenticeship program that complements performance as a Metal Working Machine Operator (preferred).
- Experience with safe practices, procedures, and overall processes from raw materials to finished product.
- Strong verbal and listening communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
- Critical eye for identifying defects.
- Commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, walk, stand for long periods, and perform strenuous labor occasionally.
- Other duties as required.
- Prescreen assessments required.
