Job summary

Spacesaver is seeking a production operator to run preset machines and ensure parts meet orders. You will read shop orders, perform quality checks, and maintain efficiency using our ERP system. Emphasizing safety, you’ll follow all protocols and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates demonstrate attention to detail, basic math and data entry skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass basic math and measuring assessments.
• Familiarity with PC navigation, scanning, and data entry.
• Read and comprehend instructions in English.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate pre-set machines to produce parts per shop orders.
• Follow safety protocols including Lock Out Tagout.
• Read and interpret shop orders.
• Perform quality inspections using blueprints and precision tools.
• Maintain production efficiency and meet schedules.

• Support continuous improvement and assist in other areas.
• Work safely and adhere to scheduled hours, including overtime when required.

• Operate pre-set machines such as press brakes, turrets, spot welders, punch presses, and roll formers to produce parts according to shop orders.
• Follow all safety protocols, including Lock Out Tagout and ergonomic practices.
• Read and interpret electronic and written shop orders.
• Perform quality inspections using blueprints and precision measuring tools.
• Maintain production efficiency and complete tasks according to schedules.
• Use Spacesaver’s ERP system for shop order management and reporting.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in other work areas as needed.
• Always work safely and adhere to scheduled hours, including overtime when required.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass basic math and measuring assessments.
• Familiarity with PC navigation, scanning, and data entry.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English (translation assistance available upon request).
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, dial indicators, scales, protractors, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to multitask.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
