Job summary

Spacesaver Corporation in Fort Atkinson, WI, is seeking a Fabricator I to set up and operate production equipment according to the shop order schedule. You will perform set-ups, tool changes, and basic program modifications on presses and related machinery to produce parts meeting quality and delivery standards; troubleshoot equipment as needed.

The role requires adherence to safety policies, 5S, preventive maintenance, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, and 3-5 years of experience or a technical degree and 1 year of experience.
• Basic PLC/CNC knowledge.
• Proven ability to read tape measures and measuring devices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• English language literacy and communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assigned production equipment per the shop order schedule.
• Perform set-ups, tool and die changes, and basic program modifications on press brakes, turrets, spot welders, punch presses, roll formers, etc.
• Perform standard work and report defects to supervisor.
• Meet or exceed production efficiency goals and follow 5S practices.
• Complete preventive maintenance and required documentation.
• Support other work areas and participate in continuous improvement.
