Job summary

WEG Transformers USA is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator in Washington, Missouri. You will operate press brake machinery, measure parts, and perform setups from drawings, ensuring high quality and precision. The role requires reading BOMs and supporting production with accurate measurements and adjustments.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret bill of materials, schematics, drawings or specifications.
• Must read and interpret BOMs, schematics and drawings accurately.
• Clear communication with area leaders and follow directions.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Safety-sensitive position; THC testing is conducted.

Responsibilities

• Operate press brake and other machinery on 2nd shift.
• Measure blanks and parts with tape measures.
• Perform setups and adjustments from drawings and verbal instructions.
• Ensure quality and precision at each step of production.
• Move materials using forklift or pallet jack as required.

What You’ll Do

As a 2nd Shift Machine Operator, you’ll:

• Operate press brake and other machinery.
• Measure steel blanks and parts using tape measures.
• Perform setups and adjustments using layout marks, drawings, and verbal instructions.
• Ensure quality and precision in every step of the process.
• Use a fork truck or pallet jack to move material from storage racks.

Requirements

Basic:

• Ability to work evening or night shift;
• Ability to read, understand and interpret a bill of material, schematic, drawing, and/or specification;
• Ability to communicate with and follow direction of leaders within the area;
• Able to work over-time as needed;
• Successfully complete: application, talent assessment, interview, drug & background screen.
• Safety-sensitive position: we test for THC.
• Resides or intends to reside within a reasonable commute of distance of Washington, MO;
• Has current work authorization for employment in the United States;

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Two years of prior manufacturing experience;
• Prior press brake experience;
• Successful completion of the National Career Readiness Certificate ® (NCRC) offered through the ACT WorkKeys program;
