Job summary

WEG Transformers USA in Washington, MO is seeking a Powder Coat Painter for the 3rd shift. You will perform powder coat painting on transformer tanks in both automatic and manual sections, ensuring proper humidity/temperature and safe, efficient operation.

This role requires prior manufacturing experience and ability to lift up to 60 lbs. We offer competitive hourly pay ($24.14-$25.65/hour) plus a $1.00/hour 3rd shift differential, together with benefits and a pro-rated bonus plan.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating machinery.
• Able to work over-time as needed.
• Occasionally lifting objects weighing over 60 pounds.
• Must read, write and comprehend common vocabulary.
• Must read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, plans, layouts and/or templates.
• Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington MO.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Safety Sensitive Position: drug screen includes THC.

Responsibilities

• Perform powder coat painting in both automatic and manual sections of the paint system.
• Check humidity and temperature in the environmental room and ensure paint storage.
• Set and adjust atomizing, flow rate, voltage, feed hopper and powder pumps at control consoles.
• Keep system clean to ensure efficiency and maximum safety.
• Load and unload parts on the conveyor and set up conveyor as required.
• Clean and replenish tanks with chemicals.

Role: Powder Coat Painter (3rd Shift)

You will perform a range of tasks in the powder coat painting of a transformer tank:

• Perform powder coat painting in both automatic and manual sections of the paint system. Check humidity and temperature in the environmental room and assure enough storage of paint in the environmental room.
• Set and adjust atomizing, flow rate, correct voltage, feed hopper and powder pumps at the control consoles for both manual and automatic system.
• Keep system clean to insure efficiency and maximum safety.
• Load and unload parts on and off conveyor, start and set-up conveyor as required.
• Clean and replenish tanks with chemicals.
