Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift in York, PA. You will set up and operate metal fabrication machines such as brakes, shears and presses to cut, bend and form metal parts according to blueprints.
The role requires reading drawings, selecting tooling, adjusting machining factors, inspecting parts and maintaining safety standards. Forklift license is required in some departments; training may be provided.

Pay: $23.19 - $27.39 + ($1.50 Shift Premium)
Sets up and operates metal fabricating machines such as brakes, shears and presses, to cut, bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes by performing the following duties.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos (i.e. safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, shop‑floor paperwork, and procedure manuals). Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read a scale and vernier calipers.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of CNC software and the ability to use a PC. The need for these skills varies depending on the machine.
Forklift license required in some departments. Must be able to obtain within three (3) months.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $23.19 - $27.39 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
