Job summary

Moog is hiring a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Orrville, Ohio. You will operate basic machine shop equipment, learn Moog processes, and ensure quality while meeting production schedules.

The role requires 1 year of manufacturing experience, with a preference for a High School diploma or GED. Shift includes 10% differential for 2nd shift and comprehensive benefits.

• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

• Operate basic machine shop equipment including lathes, mills, band saws, overhead cranes, and tow motors.
• Acquire some basic knowledge of inspection equipment and Moog processes/procedures.
• Expected to train and learn the basics of shop math and machine operation.
• Responsible for the quality and quantity of work, through inspection and meeting schedule requirements.
• Recognize an abnormal condition and be able to stop the work and get help promptly, including troubleshooting and correction of problems.
• Expected to train and learn basic Moog operating systems.

4-10 hour shifts - Monday - Friday 3PM - 1AM

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience

Salary Range Transparency
