Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Machine Operator for the Milford, IA area. The role involves operating and setting up multiple fabrication machines in a fast-paced production environment with a typical Monday–Friday schedule on 2nd shift.

Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong measurement and blueprint-reading skills, basic computer/data-entry ability, and a safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
• Work with fabrication equipment including brake presses, laser machines, CNC equipment, saws, routers, and related machinery.
• Perform quality inspections on first articles and throughout production runs.
• Monitor equipment and materials to identify quality concerns or production issues.
• Enter production data and metrics into company systems for tracking and reporting.
• Troubleshoot and communicate equipment issues to reduce downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all safety procedures.

Compensation: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour – paid weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 3:30pm to 1:30am

What You'll Do as a Machine Operator

What You Need to Bring to the Machine Operator Role

• High school diploma or GED

• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, reach, and grasp for extended periods
• Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred but not required
