Job summary

KENT Nutrition in Sheldon, IA, part of the KENT WORLDWIDE family, is hiring a Machine Operator for the 1st shift. You will operate equipment, process feeds, and ensure quality control across loading, bagging and inventory tasks.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and at least 1 year in manufacturing. Mechanical aptitude and forklift familiarity are preferred; safety and teamwork are essential. Benefits are offered with this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Farming background a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products.
• Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow warehouse and loading protocols.
• Ensure KNG's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
• Record and document all feed manufactured during shift.
• Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality.
• Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
• Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures.
• Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.
