Job summary

Avient Corporation in Hatfield Township is looking for a dependable Production Associate to join our manufacturing team. You will perform weigh-up and packaging duties, ensuring product quality while adhering to customer specifications.

Starting at $22.00 or more based on experience. Plus shift premium of $2.00 for 2nd shift & $2.50 for 3rd shift.

Hours

All three shifts available: 1st Shift 7am-3:30pm / 2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm / 3rd Shift 11pm-7:30am.

Days

Monday to Friday.

Job Description

In this manufacturing position as a Production Associate, you will perform weigh‑up or packaging duties within the production department, ensuring the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with Avient policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct documentation for the batch and ensure correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
• Set up and start weigh‑up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any issues, problems or concerns in a timely manner.
• Safely and neatly process, batch off, screen, cut up, package and/or skid material to correct size/container according to customer specifications.
• Accurately supply/support production operators with appropriate materials/functions to efficiently keep all equipment operational.
• Perform all required machine cleaning.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork and/or documents.
• Follow all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent training & experience.
• Work experience in an industrial operations environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.
• Mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, conversions; work with units such as weight, volume, density, distance).

Physical Demands

• Requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time, talking, and listening.
• Must be able to walk and use hands; occasionally requires bending, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs.
• May occasionally be required to lift, push or pull up to 55 pounds.
• Ability to frequently communicate and understand work instructions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with loud noise levels.
• Must detect and discern safety alarms and respond accordingly.
• Requires use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, respiratory protection.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions is routine; may work in extreme heat and humidity; may be exposed to dust or fumes.
