Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Machine Operator for 2nd shift in Hanover, PA to operate packing room machines at the required speed and to keep production standards met.

You will read the production sheet to anticipate changeovers, prep film, labels, and coding materials, perform weight checks, and help maintain bag quality. Overtime weekends may be required; pay is $26.00 per hour with shift differential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment - food manufacturing a plus.
• The ability to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operates all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed).
• Determines upcoming production needs by studying production sheet and scheduling changeovers.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates.
• Ensures product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines.
• Other duties as assigned

About the Role

• Ensures that production standards are met by: operating all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed). Packing room machines include: Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers and sonic sensors.
• Determines upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines. Uses this information to have correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, etc. ready for next order.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limits.
• Ensures product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines.
• Other duties as assigned

Important Details

This is a full-time permanent role on 2nd Shift which operates from 3:00p to 11:00p Monday through Friday, Overtime on Saturday as needed . $26.00 /hr. Including shift differential pay.
