Job summary

Oxco, LLC in Fort Mill, SC, is seeking a Machine Operator to drive efficiency and throughput on assigned equipment, ensuring orders meet specifications, quality and packaging requirements.

You will set up machines for production cycles, document time and output, and raise issues to supervision while adhering to safety and company values.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 3 years' experience in a production running industrial machines.
• Strong attention to detail – accuracy in entering data and in communicating information with others; ability to see errors and identify inconsistencies.
• Problem Solving – work independently and with others to resolve issues.
• Collaboration – Work effectively with other personnel to achieve established outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine safely according to all safety requirements.
• Meet throughput, packaging and quality expectations as outlined for each customer order base on specifications.
• Set up machines to start a production cycle in the proper manner.
• Process orders with customer-specific details listed on the work order (length, width, core size/attachment, splice type, OD parameters).
• Package material based on Work Order specifications (wrapping type, pallet size/type, quantity, orientation).
• Record time, consumption, output and quality notes accurately using systems/paperwork.
• Raise issues to Supervisor, Plant Manager, or VP of Manufacturing as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Summary

Machine Operator is responsible for the efficiency and output of work orders assigned to their machine. In addition is responsible for meeting or exceeding throughput, packaging and quality expectations as outlined for each customer order base on specifications

Functions/Responsibilities

• Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Oxco core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork

• Safety Focus - operates machine according to all safety requirements.
• Quality control - serve as a material inspector to assure that all quality standards have been met
• Process Orders - responsible for understanding and processing of customer specific details listed on the work order such as:
  • Length
  • Width
  • Core size and core attachment
  • Splices/Splice type if any
  • OD parameters
  • Other special customer requirements as indicated on the comment section while operating within standard operating procedures.
• Setting up machines to start a production cycle in the proper manner
• Package material base on specification outline on Work Order such as:
  • Wrapping type
  • Pallet Size and Type
  • Quantity and Orientation
• Efficiency - work in the most productive and efficient manner while maintaining safe operating practices and quality workmanship
• Use systems and/or paperwork for accurate recording of time, consumption, output, and quality notes as required.
• Raise any issues or concerns that arise day to day work to the Supervisor, Plant Manager, or VP of Manufacturing
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School or GED

Experience:

• 3 years' experience in a production running industrial machines
