Job summary

United Direct Solutions is seeking a full-time Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Cincinnati, Ohio. You will operate mailing equipment safely and efficiently to meet production goals. The ideal candidate has machine operating experience, a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to read instructions.

Shift: Monday–Friday 4:00 PM–Midnight. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. We offer competitive pay, a climate-controlled facility, health, dental and vision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; one year of mail equipment experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate mailing equipment per job tickets and convert post-press products into finished goods.
• Ensure equipment runs efficiently and that output meets quality standards.
• Accurately set up equipment to meet specific customer requirements.
• Perform quality checks and document results.
• Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies for daily operation.
• Inspect equipment for defects and conduct basic maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety protocols.
• Participate in department meetings and continuous improvement activities.

This position will report directly to the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating mailing equipment to ensure the highest quality of processing for our customers.

Essential Functions:

• Effectively perform mail equipment processing – converting post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.
• Responsible for ensuring that mail equipment is operating efficiently while producing product that conforms to a quality standard.
• Accurately setup equipment to meet specific customer requirements.
• Perform and document quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
• Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials for the equipment and daily operation.
• Inspect equipment for defects and perform general maintenance duties, as necessary.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions and job tickets, as well as comprehend verbal instructions.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Participate in department meetings, training, and continuous improvement events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; One year of mail equipment experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not necessary.
