Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 1-4 years of experience repairing industrial equipment or high-speed manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment issues.
• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and replace machine components to minimize downtime.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production support.
• Perform equipment adjustments, testing, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and support operators on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
• Participate in 5S, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Help drive equipment reliability, uptime, and overall production performance.

Join BD as a Maintenance Technician and play a critical role in keeping our manufacturing equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. In this hands-on role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve production equipment while working closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to support production goals.

• Ability to follow safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Work Environment

• Clean manufacturing environment
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and equipment interaction throughout the shift
• Required PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, hair covering, and other protective equipment as needed
• Exposure to moving machinery, production equipment, and varying manufacturing conditions
