Job summary

BD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our manufacturing equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. You\'ll troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve production equipment while collaborating with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to support production goals.

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 5:40 PM - 5:50 AM with every other weekend off. On-site at our Sandy, UT facility to support production and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 1–4 years of experience repairing industrial equipment or high-speed manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automated equipment issues.
• Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and replace machine components to minimize downtime.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and production support.
• Perform equipment adjustments, testing, and fine-tuning to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train and support operators on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
• Participate in 5S, safety, and continuous improvement activities.
• Help drive equipment reliability, uptime, and overall production performance.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Work Environment

Clean manufacturing environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and equipment interaction throughout the shift

Required PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, hair covering, and other protective equipment as needed Exposure to moving machinery, production equipment, and varying manufacturing conditions
