Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar is seeking a Machine Operator 2 to operate NC machines and machining centers for aerospace parts according to engineering specs. Responsibilities include monitoring for malfunctions, inspecting the first part run, reading drawings, and adhering to safety guidelines.
Preferred candidates have math aptitude, basic Windows skills, and machining training. Experience with calipers, micrometers, and basic machine language (M/G-codes) is a plus. Requires U.S. export compliance.

The Machine Operator 2 operates numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate aerospace parts per engineering specifications.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position works in the machine shop environment throughout the workday. This environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, etc. Individuals must stand for much of the workday. Work activities involve combinations of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and carrying and standing for extended periods and performing some very repetitive activities. Work requires the ability to see, hear and smell in order to detect problems. The work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required. Safety training is required and provided by the Company in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and Company policy. 23.75 per hour to 27.75 per hour
NIGHT: M-TH, 4:30pm - 3:00am (see below for differential pay)
WEEKEND: Fri/Sat/Sun, 4:30am - 5:00pm OR Fri/Sat/Sun, 5:00pm - 4:30am (see below for shift premium and shift differential pay)
