Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Machine Operator 2 for a 6-month contract on the 1st shift (Mon–Thu, 5:00am–3:30pm) with potential overtime on Fridays. You will set up and operate Citizen Swiss style lathes to fabricate metal parts to exact tolerances.

Qualifications include 3–5 years of related experience, experience with CNC Swiss lathe or CNC milling, and a High School Diploma or GED. Apprenticeship or equivalent training is typically required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates a variety of Citizen Swiss style lathes to make metal parts to exacting tolerances and dimensions.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; uses hand tools and precision measuring instruments; performs shop computations relating to dimensions, tooling, feeds and speeds; marks and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment.
• Some machines may be numerically controlled.
• Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Typically requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
