Job summary

Bracalente Manufacturing Group in Pennsylvania is seeking a CNC Mill and Lathe Operator to set up and operate machines to produce parts meeting engineering drawings. This role is on 2nd shift, Mon-Thu, 4:30 pm - 3:00 am, with pay based on experience.

Responsibilities include machine setup, operation, and maintenance; reading part drawings; inspecting parts with precision instruments; recording data and ensuring quality; and supporting continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced production

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Responsible for set-up, operation, and maintenance of machines to produce quality parts.
• Load/unload parts from machine and measure/inspect.
• Complete quality control documentation and inspection sheets; verify conformance to specs.
• Work efficiently to achieve targeted goals and ensure product quality.
• Maintain machine utilization and productivity, record cycle times.
• Start machines, run through breaks, and hand off smoothly at shift change.
• Report labor transactions; clock on/off for direct and indirect labor.
• Support 6S and continuous improvement efforts.
• Follow blueprints, travelers, work instructions, and process specifications.

CNC Mill and Lathe Operatorwillbe responsible for set-up and operation CNCmachines to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing.

2nd shift: 4:30 pm - 3:00 am, Mon - Thu

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for set-up, operation, and maintenance of machines to produce quality parts.


• Knowledge of machining, tool specifications, and material characteristics, to enable part to run successfully in machine. Load/unload parts from machine. Measure and inspect.


• Accurately complete all quality control documentation and inspection sheets. Capable of verifying conformance of parts to specifications using precision measuring instruments and process control techniques including SPC.


• Work efficiently to achieve targeted goals and to assure product compliance to quality specifications.


• Responsible for machine utilization and productivity goals being met daily, including machine output to ensure cycle times are verified and recorded.


• Prompt startup of machines at beginning of shift, run machines through breaks and lunch as applicable and smooth hand off of machines at shift change to keep them running.


• Assure accurate and timely reporting of labor transactions. Clock on and off jobs with production and setups both direct and indirect labor activities


• Active involvement and support of 6S and continuous improvement efforts.


• Report to Group Leader and/or Manager immediately if unable to attain these goals.


• Follows verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction from supervisor in completing a variety of machining and inspection tasks.
