Job summary

Stella-Jones is seeking a Boring Operator to operate and maintain machinery on a boring line in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation and meeting target production levels.

The ideal candidate will read tape measures, perform basic math, follow LOTO and PPE procedures, and participate in the company safety program while supporting production records and quality control.

Qualifications

• Able to read a tape measure and perform simple math.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE (LOTO, PPE).
• Contribute to production records and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up equipment for production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality.
• Make minor machine adjustments and troubleshoot downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and perform QC inspections.
• Complete production records and reports.
• Participates and contributes to company safety program
• Follow safety procedures and workplace regulations such as LOTO and proper PPE.
• Perform routine cleaning.
• Be able to read a tape measure and perform simple math.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Boring Operator - performs operational work related to setting up, operating and maintaining machinery on a boring line. To operate proficiently, individual must operate consistently at or above target production levels.

Principal Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up equipment for production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality.
