Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, based in Cary, NC, is hiring for a full-time manufacturing associate to provide responsive, efficient manufacturing support and to process customer orders safely and accurately. The role requires the ability to read a tape measure, operate hand tools, and potentially obtain forklift and overhead crane certification.

Shifts vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours with potential overtime and weekend work as needed; a HS diploma or GED is required, along with 18+ years of age

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Verifiable dependability and energetic.
• Able to read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• A combination of education and experience may be qualifying.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Must be able to become certified to operate a forklift vehicle and overhead crane.
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer responsive and efficient manufacturing support activities.
• Complete work assignments and customer orders safely, accurately, timely and without damage.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspections.
• Assist co-workers and customers.
• Quality and Safety Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management activities including daily updates to the ERP system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
• Assist in the movement of inventory within and among workstations and areas.
• Assist with inventory control and material tracking when necessary.
• Comply with all safety requirements and use applicable personal protective equipment.
• Follow all OSHA, company safety, and quality procedures at all times.

Pay Rate: $16.00 - $16.30 per hour

Additional Information

This is a position with the potential overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year. Must be able to work O/T and weekends on short notice.
