Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Production Associate for our manufacturing client near Pikeville, TN area. This role supports production operations in a fast-paced environment with responsibilities spanning material handling, machine support, finishing work, and shipping preparation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, machine shop, or production experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good work ethic and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform labor-intensive production duties including material handling, chipping, grinding, leak testing, packing parts, and paint line support.
  • Load and unload materials, parts, and finished products from pallets, skids, conveyors, containers, and trucks.
  • Deliver metal parts and raw materials to designated production and machining areas.
  • Assist with machine setup by positioning and securing materials on machine tables, chucks, or fixtures.
  • Feed metal parts and stock into automated metalworking equipment and remove finished components after machining cycles.
  • Add coolant and lubricants to production equipment as needed.
  • Reclaim and recycle cutting oils and lubricants using established procedures.
  • Remove metal chips, shavings, and excess oil from machinery and work surfaces.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment through routine housekeeping.
  • Sort and separate scrap metal, chips, and recyclable materials for proper disposal and resale.
  • Remove burrs and excess material from finished parts using hand tools.
  • Stamp or etch part numbers and identification markings onto metal components.
  • Inspect cleaned and finished parts to verify quality standards are met.
  • Transfer finished products into shipping containers for delivery.
  • Assist machine operators and production teams with various manufacturing tasks as needed.
